In the wild, Hyacinth Macaws inhabit various ecosystems across central and eastern South America, including the Pantanal, cerrado woodlands, and parts of the Amazon Basin. Their natural diet primarily consists of the nuts of several palm species, and they nest in tree cavities or cliff faces depending on the region.
